Tela have conducted an in-depth analysis of the top 50 pharmaceutical company logos to better understand how colour is used to build trust, credibility and brand identity within the healthcare sector.
By examining the dominant hues, saturation levels and tonal qualities across these leading brands; this research aims to uncover common visual strategies that resonate with both professional and public audiences. The study provides valuable insight into how colour choices influence perception in a highly regulated, science-driven industry where reassurance and clarity are paramount.
The 2025 pharmaceutical logo colour research highlights a strong preference for clean, cool tones particularly blues, teals and light greens. This suggests users associate these colours with health, safety and reliability. The cluster of brighter shades at the center of the image reinforces a clear trend toward light, calming palettes that convey trust and clarity in medical branding.
Warmer tones such as oranges, reds and yellows appear but are used sparingly, likely due to their associations with urgency or caution, which may be less desirable in healthcare branding. Deep blacks and dark tones appear off to the side, showing limited appeal and possibly indicating that overly strong or somber palettes can feel unapproachable or overly corporate.
Overall, the results point to a clear user preference for fresh, professional and reassuring colour choices ideal for fostering confidence in pharmaceutical products and services.
