Alzheimers Research UK

Dementia Statistics Hub

Alzheimer’s Research UK (ARUK) is the UK’s leading dementia research charity. They specialise in funding world-class, pioneering research at leading universities to find preventions, treatments and ultimately a cure for dementia. ARUK commissioned the development of a web-based hub that would display up to date facts and statistics about dementia.

Objectives

ARUK wanted to create one of the most comprehensive resources of up-to-date statistics on dementia. The hub aimed to provide data about dementia, research, funding and the impact ARUK make in this area. It also needed to be future-proofed, ensuring that it could be kept relevant as statistics change.

The hub needed to be designed in line with the current ARUK branding with pages that provided absorbable and visually appealing information. With a large amount of data being presented, the content needed to be interactive and allow users to intuitively navigate through the website.

Result

tela designed and developed a site which facilitates the presentation of static and dynamic research material, while also aiding the distribution of content to other sites, social platforms and publications.

The implementation of shareable / interactive graphs helps ARUK to present data in an easily absorbable manner for all types of viewing and research. The graphs were built to be managed through the CMS so they could easily be adapted and kept up-to-date as new statistics are released.
