The NIHR Cambridge Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) is part of the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR). The organisation is hosted by Cambridge University Hospitals in partnership with the University of Cambridge to deliver groundbreaking research that benefits patients.
Tela partnered with the Cambridge Biomedical Research Centre (CBRC) to enhance its online presence, supporting their mission to advance healthcare through world-class experimental medicine and early translational research. By creating a modern and user-friendly website, we aimed to help the CBRC showcase its innovative work and connect with a broad audience, including researchers, patients and the public.
Our key objectives for this project were to create a highly accessible, user-friendly platform that caters to diverse audiences including researchers, patients and healthcare professionals. The website needed to effectively reflect the CBRC’s mission to tackle significant health challenges, support translational research and nurture the next generation of researchers. Additionally, we wanted to highlight their work in areas such as personalised medicine, health inequalities and their strong commitment to collaboration with patients and the public.
Tela designed and developed a responsive WordPress website that adhered to the NIHR’s brand guidelines and the latest accessibility standards. We ensured the website was intuitive, with clear sections for researchers, the general public and patients, offering easy access to essential information. We also made sure that all research areas included the relevant case studies, news and publications.
